Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

New York mag reporter: Whining about these briefings not being done by Tommy Franks...actually said George Steppie from ABC went home.....thought it was dull.
Clymers applauded.
Brooks tells them they are not the only ones getting info from the briefings.....take that!!!!!

We want Tommy Franks! I think Brooks should tell them,"There's the door, don't let it slam you in the butt, pinhead"

I'm in shock at that question. What is the value? How about asking better questions and getting value? When you ask dumb a## questions....

I'm getting them all confused. The memo writer's name is Paul Adams, IIRC.

Scott's just trying to keep the videos from his last Iraq visit from the media. You know, when he inspected that orphanage.

Did you just hear that question and insult from the reporter? Did you notice how the reporter said that the head reporter from ABC no longer atteneds these briefings. Would that be Georgie Stuffanoctopus???

Oh, so it WAS Michael Wolff? Do a Google search on him sometime; you'll find some very interesting information.

I don't think I can stomach these anymore.
I'll repeat - Gulf War I POW's wife on CNN yesterday - said she'd listen to the president, the vp, powell, franks and rumsfeld and she will ignore the rest. Smart lady - these clymers aren't worth an ulcer.

I still think we should take out Al Jazeera.CNN first. Al Jazeera is balanced by comparison.
