Their strategy must be to poison the Euphrates with decomposing Iraqi bodies and increase the amount of water we have to transport by tanker.

Oh Yes! There are many Anglo-Saxon and Germanic genes running through the Middle East. The Crusaders felt many behind them. One of Hussan's principle advisors had red hair and blue eyes. I met a highly placed individual in an
Arab country with light brown hair and blue eyes.

A big insult to another Arab: "Who's your grandfather?"

Regards.

"Also yesterday, US military officials reported that two Iraqi rockets, seized by American troops Tuesday southeast of Najaf, were suspected of containing chemical munitions. The rockets were undergoing testing in a military lab, said Lieutenant Christopher Pike, an intelligence officer with the Third Infantry Division."

They are testing them...good! Hopefully, we'll know soon if they are WMDs or not.

I don't want another "chemical factory" incident. It's just too disappointing...

"Hopefully, we'll know soon if they are WMDs or not."

I wonder if the US and Allied military will know the truth, but not the public and reporters. We seemed to have stumbled upon too many buildings and locations suspected of having chemical weapons or being able to produce chemical weapons without at least one of them providing positive evidence.

I think we may not know the truth until Iraq is secure or after a chemical weapons attack.

"I think we may not know the truth until Iraq is secure or after a chemical weapons attack."

On that, I think you are absolutely correct. I didn't mean that the public would know...I meant the USA and Allied Forces.

Sorry...after rereading my post, I see that I wasn't clear at all on that point.

"...Bailes said, Hussein apparently has taken some cues from fighting in Somalia and Chechnya, where small, determined resistance has been shown to be effective in protracting a conflict against superior numbers and technology."

In Somalia, Aidid's militia lost 3,000 to 5,000 men to 19 for the Americans. That battle broke his back. It wasn't effective and it wasn't a small group. Second, how much superior technology do the Russians have versus the Chechens? Do they have unmanned reconnaisance drones? Satellites? J-Stars? J-Dams? Pin-point accuracy with every munition from mortars to cruise missiles to anti-tank missiles to 2,000 lb bombs? These small groups have been getting their butts handed to them, up to 800 killed versus zero for the 3rd ID. This was the case even when the Iraqis chose the time, place and manner of attack.
