Darryl Worley's patriotic song "Have You Forgotten" is now #1 on the Radio & Records country music charts, for the week ending April 5th.
This is one of the fastest climbs to #1 by a song on the country charts. "Have You Forgotten" has been on the charts only 5 weeks....usually most songs take as long as 30 weeks from its chart debut to hit #1.

G. Gordon Liddy also plays this song on his show. It's struck the hearts of many.

Was he actually there? I heard President Bush say he was sorry he missed it but I didn't know he or Toby were there.

Thanks for the info. I would like to see the Vichy Chicks experience a permanent drop in their fan base. What Natalie did was unforgivable and fans walking away for good is the only way to convey that.

Re:
I've always despised the Vichy Chicks and thought they made music that was the *country* equivalent of Brittany Spears.
My wife, though, is a big fan who just dropped over $300 (of my money! - could be a dimocrat in the making) to see them this summer here in SA.
That graphic has just become the background for my login on our XP-system computer!
And none of the "Chicks" are as good looking as the Spearchucker. If your wife starts taking covert trips north to the Peoples Republic of Austin, then put her in Democrat rehab or boot camp. (I'm one to talk, both ex-wife & ex-live-in were liberals)
Just remember one thing about the Dix Chix:
"They're dead, Jim."

I listened to it a few times online. WOW, it gave me chills. I will definitely buy it when it comes out.
And to all the lucky posters who are going to see Toby live--I'm sooooooooooooooooo jealous ;-) Have fun!

I saw Toby Keith last July. He was patriotic I will grant, but I believe that Neal McCoy and Chad Brock both spoke out more loudly for America. For that matter Darryl Worley certainly let us know where he stood as well, and he was just starting out. So I suppose a demonstration of patriotism is viewed differently by individuals and I saw the others as being even more patriotic than Toby. I do not want to make it a contest, just point out that there are many others that may not get the recognition for the love of country they demonstrate.

Small paragraph on Hank Williams Jr.-I have no idea what his political views are or his stand on war...
http://www.tennessean.com/celebrities/ This is one tank driver Hank Jr. can salute
An American tank commander has named his M1A1 Abrams tank ''Bocephus'' after Hank Williams Jr. The soldier showed NBC war correspondent David Bloom the name painted on the side of his tank, and Williams heard about the tribute at his home in Paris, Tenn.
''Turn out Saddam's lights in Baghdad, son, and get back home quick,'' Hank Jr. said. ''You're a man whose hand I want to personally shake.''
