It was a great show and filled with truth from Spencer he never lied like one poster said he did. OK, I won't ask who, or I might get in trouble, LOL.
To: Luis Gonzalez
Well, yeah.. When you say it like that maybe.
But we should still just "kill em all" because it's easier to type, it fits neatly on protest signs and such.. I mean, come on. Be reasonable here.

Sounds like the Libertarians to me.

Thanks! Sitting here stateside with a cast on my leg instead of standing in the turret of tank racing across the desert has me feeling kind of old and depressed. Thank you for listening and your kind comments.

What happened to your leg? Skiing? Hope it heals quickly. I would not have been so critical.

Bothers me that it was there for 24 hours and then just disappeared.
The lack of follow-up on stories like that happens too frequently, doesn't it ds? I get concerned when the "you can't handle the truth" conspiracy feeling perks up. FReegards.
To: dennisw
No. Surgery to fix a lifetime of accumulated damage. Thanks for the concern.
FWIW, I really try and make the interviews about the person I am interviewing and let their views come out. I try and be moderately versed in their topic and then, hopefully, ask good questions so that their view gets out - not necessarily my view.
I hate interviews where the dialogue is too much mental telepathy instead of real verbal information being passed. Having said that, if you are listening to my CPAC interviews you will probably be able to buy a small home in California with a nickle for every, "Ummmm", "Right", "Duh" that I utter over the course of three days of interviews.

You must be conquering this common foible because I didn't hear it. btw, speedy recovery to you... get up and about soon!

You saw a film of Palestinians dancing in the streets of Gaza, your guest's reponse to your statement that there had been Muslims dancing in the streets in New Jersey while the towers were burning is an urban legend.
Stop and think about it for one second...do you truly believe that all those Tony Soprano New Jersey types wouldn't have butchered them wholesale?

I'm not sure enough to dispute it. It could be as you say - an urban legend. I distinctly remember seeing photos of Arab garb attired women and men in western garb pointing at Manhatten. I would concede that it was footage interspersed with photos of Palestinian reaction, Jordanian reaction etc. It is quite possible I'm wrong.

Generally this phrase smacks me upside the head as if I'm a child. Having said that - One of the reasons I value FR is because of the first hand reporting of events on a local level. I no longer automatically believe what I am fed from the media, the govt. and more importantly I easily question what I am NOT shown. Proving a negative is difficult. Essentially, since that is what I am asking when I say, "I remember massive demonstrations in NJ by Muslim Americans." So, without proof it is rhetoric and I withdraw it.

Great interview and this guy knows what he is talking about, most are fooled here by Islam defenders!
and neither is Michelle Malkin here
The Islamist infiltration of our troops is scandalous. Not one more American, soldier or civilian, must be sacrificed at the altar of multiculturalism, diversity, open borders, and tolerance of the murderous "attitude" of Jihad.

"I distinctly remember seeing photos of Arab garb attired women and men in western garb pointing at Manhatten."
I would imagine that there were a whole lot of people staring and pointing at Manhattan from New Jersey that morning.
It's not about withdrawing anything, it's about not fanning the fires of hate. There's enough of that going on in the world right now.
Thanks for the response.
Talk to you soon.

Radio Free Republic - The Shrew Interviews Robert Spencer author of Islam Unveiled
Thanks for the ping...but work will probably prevent me from hearing it live.
Right now, I'm still mentally recovering from the "Islamicist In Our Midst" attack
in the 101st Airborne by the whack-job from South Central LA.
As usual, The Michael Medved Show is one of the few places where I've heard the recounting
of how "John Mohammed", the "adult" part of the "Beltway Sniper" team tried to frag
some fellow soldiers while in the theater of operations in Gulf War I.
And how this incident does NOT appear on his service record.
I guess Islamics get at least a free pass if their fraggin' attack doesn't kill someone.
AND all this after he'd been court-martialed TWICE for screw-ups (IIRC, with the
National Guard in Louisiana).
(Medved read the accounts of one fellow injured when John Mohammed set off the
thermite grenade during the fragging attack; two other soldiers have supported his
recollection of the incident that "never happened".)
For lurkers...
Another good book:
"Hatred's Kingdom"
by Dore Gold
This book by a former Israeli diplomatic corps officer traces the history of Wahhabism (sp?).
I haven't read it, but Dennis Prager highly recommended it during his interview of the
author.
The book describes how one Osama bin Laden fell under the sway of two major
teachers of Wahhabism in Saudi Arabia.
Osama absorbed all their gospel of hate and went forth to make history.

"Listen to this! 'Muslims are not supposed to fight one another, and there are more than one type of Muslims.'
I guess the Muslims that Saddam killed didn't count, or Saddam is not a Muslim."
Saddam is despised by radical Muslims as a bad Muslim, although he skillfully uses radical Muslim rhetoric.
"It is not for a believer to kill a believer unless by mistake. . . . Whoso slayeth a believer of a set purpose, his reward is Hell forever." (The Koran, 4:92 and 93).
To: Luis Gonzalez
"You saw a film of Palestinians dancing in the streets of Gaza, your guest's reponse to your statement that there had been Muslims dancing in the streets in New Jersey while the towers were burning is an urban legend."
Spencer may have been thinking of this: "Islamists in New York City celebrated the destruction on September 11 at their mosques, but journalists refused to report the story for fear of offending Muslims, effectively concealing this important information from the U.S. public." -- Daniel Pipes, "Fighting Militant Islam, Without Bias," City Journal, November 2001.
It is a reflection of your ideology that you would reflexively accuse him of lying when there is evidence to support his agreement with the host on this point.

VOA, Thank you for the book information. As a follow-up to the disgraceful muhammaden frags incidents, Eagle 9 dug up a thread about the Mohammed story in Newsweek here.
Also, I am unaware of the archive update schedule but I hope eventually the Robert Spencer interview will be here. TS, will tonight's show be added?
FReegards.
