And for god's sake, PROOFREAD it before you print it...   It's embarassing to give liberals an excuse to write you off...at every conservative rally, I see at least one sign with an elementary spelling error (or punctuation -- misplaced apostrophes are most often the culprits).

A very fine reminder Ich!   :-)   Smart thread jenny, good job!

I made some up at 24" x 36" for download - I use a 24" wide plotter (I do mapping work) - but for those who don't have that luxury - take them to Kinkos for a plot (most of them have the plotters) and affix on poster board. You can also print them normal size (8"x10").

http://www.icubed.com/~horneman/pictures_and_posters.htm

I see a lot of more good slogans and ideas here - hope yinz don't mind if I use a few for some more signs on my collection....

I was looking for software that will print out large posters in sections so you can put them back together onto poster board. I thought I seen someone mention this before - but haven't found the software yet. If anyone else know about it - let me know.

Kinkos = $7.50 per sq ft on color plotter.

A 3 foot by 2 foot poster = $45.00

OK, I'll bite. Here's MY FReep.........................

After seeing numerous ANSWER flyers posted on various bulletin boards in my building here at Univ. of VA trying to hype people to come out and MARCH FOR PEACE I GOOGLED that famous picture of a Moose-limb man laughing at a column of burqaed women (Afghanistan?). I resized the pik in TIFF format and IMPORTED this pik onto a MSWord document stating..........

*******************************
(Top of page in Bold, like 72 pt font) PROTECT ISLAMIC PROPERTY RIGHTS FROM WESTERN IMPERIALISM........
(Middle)Color pik of women
(Bottom of page in Bold, Red 72 pt font) SAY NO TO WAR
(At very bottom) Sponsored by CANSWER (ie. Communists.....)
*********************************

I printed these up at work on a color printer on 8.5 x 11 paper.

I did the same thing (Googling some pictures of Hitler, Mussolini, Uncle Joe Stalin and a slave with his back whipped) to go with the "Except for ending......." slogan.

I went and STAPLED these to all the ANSWER flyers I could find.

for large posters, check in your local phone book for printers/copier with blueprinting capabilities, they can handle the large formatted size of posters with a quick turnaround. You may have to mount the prints yourself though

I guess the poster program already listed here (above) was the one I was thinking of - I did a search and found lots of others - but they are demo's only and wouldn't work as well as this freeware. If you know of any other freeware - keep me posted.

Kinko's will print a 18"x24" on standard stock for $12.00, then you get it laminated for $3.00.

A stake will cost you less than a dollar - if you don't have any left from the elections!

$16.00 and your on your way with a quality rain proof sign.

Mine -

France: No war for Oil?
Saddam: Deal!

I also have a Footprint of the great American Chicken sign - http://www.cafeshops.com/cp/store.aspx?s=peacechicken

Great thread. Is there any way we can keep this thread OUT THERE to click back to for the duration?

Here's a good one:

Q: WHAT'S THE MOTTO OF THE U.S. MARINES?

A: SEMPER FI (ALWAYS FAITHFUL)

Q: WHAT'S THE MOTTO OF THE FRENCH ARMY?

A: STOP, DROP, AND RUN!

And another for you:

THE LAST TIME FRANCE ASKED FOR MORE PROOF IT ROLLED OVER THEM IN A PANZER TANK CARRYING THE NAZI FLAG!

You can put it in your bookmarks, but Jim really doesn't have a system for doing this right now.

It was good enough to get on the TV that night.

Love it! I want to buy stock in "Registered Productions, Inc." and get in on the ground floor....the return should beat even the Nigerian thingie that I've heard about.
