Thank you Corporal, and rest in peace.
My father did four years in the USMC (1946-49), and went on to do 20 years in the USAF. Yet when he speaks of his military career, it is always his years as a Marine that he speaks of most fondly. I try to imagine him as a 16-year-old kid going into the Corps, and coming out in 1949 like this young man.
