Watching VP Ramadan of Iraq, I am thinking:
Shortly after 9-11, it was VP Cheney who kept a low profile in a hidden location while Pres Bush was tossing a ball a Yankee Stadium, etc.
Shortly after last Wednesday in Iraq, it is Pres Hussein who is keeping a low profile in a hidden location and sending his VP to the "target" mic.

Sandstorm may last another 3 or 4 days. Not good.

The 2 "most recent" video releases from "Saddam."
Left, from last week; right, from this week.
And these are supposed to be the same person?
Seems Saddam is getting younger with each passing week

FoxNews just reported that Delta Forces may soon be moving in on Saddam's hidden bunker (where they think he may be wounded).

MSNBC David Bloom webcam is running. Can't get any sound, but good view of the severity of the sandstorm.

Hmmmm...curious....
Watching MSNBC/David Bloom's webcam, he appears in total darkness.
Simultaneously watching CNN Bagdad webcam, Badgad appears to still be daylight.

I try to keep an eye on what's being spread by my local media and came across this gem this morning.
Protesting Once the Fighting Starts
I'm sure Mr. Goldsborough would love to hear your opinion as he is a nationally syndicated columnist. Check out his BIO.

I know what's happening, I simply want to know where the hell I am?

MSNBC saying weather in Bagdad/Kuwait will be a lot cooler tomorrow---50's rather than 80's. Good news for those who are wearing the chem-suits.

OK, here's your dilemma of the day:
You are the President of the United States.
You've just learned that there is an asteroid headed for France that will completely wipe out their entire country.
It is scheduled to hit about 2:30 a.m. EST in just two days from now.
You have enough ships and military personnel nearby that can help evacuate their people safely, but they are on stand-by in case of war with Iraq.
Your question: do you set the VCR to record the asteroid hitting France, or do you stay up to watch it live?

Neal Boortz just said he saw film of airborne troops (82nd div?) JUMPING from C-130's over an Iraqi airfield.

I just wanted to post a link to an article about Capt. Seifert, who was killed in the grenade attack by a fellow soldier in Kuwait.

FNC showing bombing in BAG. Good grief, why can't they get that palace (or whatever it is) blown off the face of the earth? It's still standing after strikes from day one.

Related Basra report:
British forces have destroyed 20 Iraqi tanks as fighting intensified around Basra, Iraq's second biggest city. They launched strikes with huge AS90 guns against 11 targets, including tanks and artillery pieces but then faced a counter attack by up to 50 Iraqi tanks breaking out of Basra.

Will be interesting to see whether the Arab news agencies, TV, Radio, etc., report this uprising. At least the US force has control of Iraqi Radio waves, so they can broadcast it via radio.

FoxNews live report from Basra...2 explosions, more than regular bombs, may have been Jdams.

MSNBC reporting Coalition forces captured a major Iraqi general in Basra.
