Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...
TOPICS: Breaking News; Foreign Affairs; War on Terror

The real pisser about the 101st is that if the Blackhawks can't fly all those grunts are truckin or walkin across a country the size of California. Those sand storms can be a bitch.

I was talking about your post #529
The Propaganda has started:
Hunger turns Iraqis against troops
However, I had posted an article from news24.com too earlier, and the site was down for me. I was just wondering if you could access it.

Today did veer quite a bit..
One hand...I like the off topic humor...
Other hand....sometimes it might be a wee bit bawdy, and any offense to that is understandable.
To: Fledermaus
To each their own, I guess.
I stated I understood the need for humor, if you read my post. It was the type of humor that has been the issue to some.

What you say is true, but If we don't change the terms of engagement it could cost us thousands in casualties. Peter? Peter Jennings is that you?

Four days and the country is isolated, decapitated, and the army separated into small fragments. Now only the pockets need be cleaned up."
Glad someone is paying attention. BTW heard anything from N Korea lately?

Come on, we all have been off the war subject here and there these past few days.
I might not be able to mention specifics, but I'm sure you also have jabbered about something "off subject". Food seems to come up more than belly girl! lol

Telling the truth about Blair and his waffling is not dissing. Blair faced problems within his own party that our President didn't. I, for one, would not have blamed him if he had not gone along because he faced an entirely different situation. I appreciate Blair being an ally when we had very few but I am not blind either. There is one person I trust completely and that is President Bush to do the right thing whether it is popular or not.
But when Shepherd Smith said that, it made sense! You cannot fight a war with one hand tied behind your back and be afraid to take out a civilian target used by the military if that target needs taking out.
Looks to me from all accounts the President has already made that decision with the increased bombing now.
