Stalingrad all over again? That's a bit extreme. The reports are small pockets of resistance in suburban areas, the Brits control Basra and are mopping up, and the center of Nasariyah is being held by militia and regualr Iraqi army units but being pushed back. It hasn't even been a week and the Iraqis are fighting on the outskirt of their capital.
