I saw the beginning of it, somewhat against my will (was visiting a friend's house).
I have to say that the Steve Martin monologue in the opener was INCREDIBLE - it was a complete and total roast of Hollywood politics! One of the best comedy routines I have ever ever seen. I hope someone makes a flash movie out of it because I'd love to see it again! I don't know Steve Martin's politics, but from the sound of this routine I wouldn't doubt that he's solidly conservative after hearing him go off like that.

Steve Martin seems to be smart enough to keep his politics to himself, but I do know that during the first Gulf War he went to the Mid-East to entertain the troops and that he and his wife took with them many messages to forward to soldiers' families when they returned to the States.
