I went to Brunswick on Saturday: Over 200 people.
Sunday I went to Auburn and ran into Rocklobster, about 100 there.

Then I went down to the Peoples Republic of Portland and countered the Monument Square takeover 20-30 were there.

A quick link to pictures someone put up:

I'll try to put up some pics and a link shortly.

Great pictures! I was born in Portland but live in NYC now. We had our Support the Troops rally in Times Square Sunday and it was great. I loved looking on this thread and seeing these freeps from my home state. We still get up to Maine every summer and love it!

My error in the above; photos by DAVID True. Our dear late Freind Paul True was a Patriotic Veteran and dedicated American Legionare as well, and perhaps that's why in the occasional senior moment I still get them mixed up.

As David's Wife "Bev" pointed out, Paul may well have been with us in Spirit; Supporting our Military in times like these was something he surely would want to be involved with.

One of the Legionares at Brunswick advised that next Saturday's rally will begin with a short parade down Maine St. with the Color Guard and all the participants who can make it, at about 3:30PM.

Someone else, it seems, was having a parade with a band - but I'm not sure where. Can anyone advise?

We have more pictures that I will be sending Anti_Jen to upload on patriotzone.com and thence to here.

It seems that coallition forces in Iraq are getting into the thick and nasty, and the threat of chemical weapons rather imminent. They start gassing us, we start nuking them, and things could get right out of hand in a hurry, don't you suppose?

Glad to see my home state showing its true colors. God bless you all for your efforts. Like WomanofStandard I am an Ex-Pat Mainer living in exile behind the lines in the Peoples Republic of New York. Your photos make me so proud of my Maine heritage.

A quick note to the Mainers: Contributing yesterday in the bombardment of the Republican Guard, from COMDESRON 2 out of Norfolk, VA the USS Arleigh Burke (DDG51), the USS John McCain (DDG56) and the USS Oscar Austin (DDG79). From COMDESRON 22 out of San Diego, CA the USS Higgins (DDG76). From COMDESRON 31 out of Pearl Harbor, HI the USS O'Kane (DDG77). All of these vessels were built by the steady hands of the Bath Iron Works shipbuilders in Bath, Maine.

Preamble of the State Constitution.

We the people of Maine, in order to establish justice, insure tranquility, provide for our mutual defense, promote our common welfare, and secure to ourselves and our posterity the blessings of liberty, acknowledging with grateful hearts the goodness of the Sovereign Ruler of the Universe in affording us an opportunity, so favorable to the design; and, imploring God's aid and direction in its accomplishment, do agree to form ourselves into a free and independent State, by the style and title of the State of Maine and do ordain and establish the following Constitution for the government of the same.
