We need a thread posted to help with care packages.

Calling for help.

If you all can send me care package addresses, lists of supplies etc., I would be happy to make the thread..we can post the link on all threads related to the war. I can copy and paste many that have been posted already...I just printed them out a day or two ago, but didn't save them to harddrive.

Not to be a party pooper, but...The official DoD website has a press release, dated 3/22, which states "The general public is urged not to send unsolicited mail, care packages, or donations...unless to a family member, loved one, or personal friend." Guess they're overwhelmed. Hate to see well meant intentions go to waste.

Yes, Kim - it's great people are being so supportive. I did see the comment that DoD is cautioning about sending packages to soldier unsolicited so to speak. It's hard to believe, but after spending several days a few weeks ago searching for information on this, I came up without any clear answer - everything I found was contradictory of the thing I'd found before! LOL

My stepson is unable to receive packages at this time (which is breaking our hearts) and that is the situation with my neighbor's son as well. It's subject to change at some point, but for now - that's where we are. Regards, Peach
