Colonel Oliver North, following an interview with General Franks, Commander of the war in Iraq, made this statement: General Franks says the Marines only watch Fox News. Thats because Fox tells the truth, and portrays these brave men and women as they are heroes defending the world. If only we could say the same about the other major news media. More...

Thats because Fox tells the truth, and portrays these brave men and women as they are heroes defending the world. All I can say is AMEN, particularly as I watch the leftists/marxists/anti-American major media at ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN ratchet up their abject slant on the news trying somehow, grotesquely but vainly, to sway public opinion against the effort.
Watching their coverage is a shameful and a disgusting thing ... so obvious are they in their desires and attitudes.
This is particularly true of their shameful and disgusting efforts today to take abject advantage of grieving American families, whose loved ones are captive of these tyrants/fascists, so they can use their grief to their un-American purposes. I tell you Dub, I was so upset and angry that I could have literally reached through the TV screen and throttled a couple of those smug media personalities.
Well, despite the set back of the relative few who have been killed and injured ... and each of those is a tragedy for our nation and their families deserving of our sympathy, repsect, honor and prayers ... yet despite any of that, the war is so clearly progressing rapidly and successfully towards its inevitable end that the anti-American sentiments of the media is drawn out in a more and more obtuse and obvious manner for all to see.
We are doing the right thing here ... every day makes that more and more clear, as if it wasn;t obvious from the start as regards Hussein and his Bahf Nazi's and their threat to us, and their abject and continuous violations of agreements signed to end the fighting 12 years ago.
Now, IMHO, there are other areas we should also be focusing on with just as much purpose like Red China, N. Korea, Iran and our own borders particularly. But right now, there in Iraq we are doing the right thing and we are doing it with a will and purpose.
I pray that will and purpose will not falter and that we will follow through to a complete concusion and then, as this distasteful but absolutely necessary work is successfully concluded ... I pray we will apply that same will and purpose to those other areas in an equal fashion.
Best regards,
Jeff

I've also noticed that PMSNBC and CNN spend an inordinate amount of time focusing on negatives: Are the WMD's really just an excuse to invade Iraq, story #2,005 on anti-war protests, story #01 (if that) on pro-troop/Bush rallies, why the U.S. can't exist without the U.N., blah, blah, BLAH.

Very good info. I am looking forward to you writing a book about this war with truth in it.
Thank you Jeff.

FoxNews is far and away most patriotic network, and their embedded reporters clearly feel this is their fight as well. That said, does FoxNews's poster of Iraq (I think they refer to it as a screenwriter) remind anyone else of a Sunday School felt board? Can't they afford anything better? It looks so low rent compared to MSNBC and CNN.

Yes he has always been a good guy and a great Marine IMO.

Let's try and stir up some ideas to get this info out to the public. I was thinking of everyone volunteering to FReep their local talkradio stations and send them this article. We need to show the rest of those poor souls that actually watch CNN/ABC/NBC/CBS that "fair and balanced" is the only way to go. Fox really is gaining momentum and I think we have a responsibility to keep it going!
By the way - I had to explain to my 90 (yes, 90) year-old Grandma last night that the war is going well - she was very upset over some of the setbacks yesterday. I asked her what channel she was watching, and she said ABC!! So I had to talk some sense into her and tell her to start watching Fox and that Peter Jennings hates America. She was shocked that he was actually a Canadian, and I said "No, Grandma - A FRENCH Canadian!!!" and she said, "Oh, I hate those French" and then turned to Fox!!! She's a fiesty one!

I switched over to CNN for a few minutes this weekend just to see if anything different in coverage could be found. I'll say. CNN not only was obsessed with covering the war protesters (and subtly inflating their importance), but they gave a long solo spot to some 75-year-old _itch that ranted on about the "resident in the White House who lost the 2000 election" and "blood for oil", etc. I switched back to FOX and they of course were continuing their excellent coverage. I don't want to see America's filth ranting in the streets, I want the news.
