While I didn't/don't watch the Oscars, I was heartened to read of The Blob being roundly and soundly booed by the hollywood elite. Perhaps even they realized what a horrible twit this guy is to impugn his country while greater men than he are fighting and dying overseas.

I couldn't force myself to watch - what did Steve Martin say to bash Michael Moore? Glad to hear he was booed loudly by some in the audience....

I wonder if they'll take the boos out of his speach the way VH1 did when Hitlery was booed in NYC?

Did they really boo? What did Steve Martin say? I couldn't bear to watch, but I'd love to hear anything bad that might have happened to him. ;-D

My understanding is that the Martin quip about the teamsters referred to Moore making the documentary without using union workers..ie, the teamsters are going to get him for that...and so probably had nothing to do with his anti-Bush statements but instead was a joke he planned to use regardless.
By the way i'm not so sure that Martin is a lib. I remember reading a while back that some Freepers thought he was somewhat conservative or at least not a lunatic liberal like so many other Hollywood types.
