While I didn't/don't watch the Oscars, I was heartened to read of The Blob being roundly and soundly booed by the hollywood elite. Perhaps even they realized what a horrible twit this guy is to impugn his country while greater men than he are fighting and dying overseas.

The "hollywood elite" weren't the ones booing - it was the "normal" people in the balcony.

Pack 'em all up in one big trash bag and throw them overboard. No one would miss these anti-American, spoiled cowards. They are all disgraceful.

I don't theink the elites booed Moore because they don't agree with him, I think they did to be seen as pro America to deflect the criticism they have been getting. It was purely self serving

Have seen replays of his remarks on the news a couple of times - they can present it as mixed boos and cheers but the boos were much more prevalent. Also random crowd shots showed the audience bemused at best as though they were watching someone else's child pitch a hissy in public.

Unfortunately, he didn't get booed by all of the Hollyweird elite. Many cheered, and the camera caught many others sitting there looking uncertain of what to do. Harrison Ford had a sheepish grin on his face. Some other twit (male) was sitting there with his mouth hanging open. Remember, many of these people don't have the brains God gave a dung beetle, so they don't know what to do without a script.

Unfortunately it was not the "elite" that booed Moore. The boos came from the upper tiers of the theatre, where friends, family, and a small number of regular people who bought tickets sit.

The camera panned the stars while Moore was mouthing off. Most of them were sitting on their hands looking uncomfortable.
