A few years ago, Kofi advised Saddam to stop wearing his military garb and start wearing suits to improve his image, this was at the time 1998, when Clinton was posturing regarding Iraq.

Kofi was trying to blunt European support of the US at that time by re-making the tyranical militant meglomanic despot into a softer more palatable grandfartherly image for the EU

(BTW, I meant Saddam being remade, not Clinton :^))....
