Kofi Says Inspections Will Continue!

Kofi Annan just announced that once the war is over, UN inspections will continue. What the hell is this pygmy smoking?

I think we'll do the inspections, probably with some international observers.

According to FNC, we have teams of pre-selected scientists, coalition military, and former UN inspectors (the ones who were actually trying to find things in the past), along with embedded reporters, waiting to move in with mobile testing labs when it's safe to do so. Since the teams are composed largely of civilians, we can't put them in harm's way prematurely, since we know how the Iraqi loyalists respect civilian lives (not).

How much longer is his term? The more he talks the more it seems that the only reality he lives in is the one in which he is supreme commander of the money from the "Oil for Food" program.

RIGHT. It's all about the UNs "Oil for Food" program. The big bucks they rake in to administer it and pay hundreds of unemployables to staff the program. Real kicker is the billions are kept in French banks who also benefit.

Either Saddam was to disarm or we were to disarm him. The inspections were intended only to confirm the first instance. They proved that Saddam did not disarm. We are now following through on our pledge to disarm Iraq. Further inspections will not be necessary.

None of the members in the UN, with the exception of the US, GB and Japan, qualify as "peace keepers" of the world!
