Kofi Annan just announced that once the war is over, UN inspections will continue. What the hell is this pygmy smoking?

Kofi
The UN had its chance and was found wanting. Our troops will be fine at discovering WMD after Iraq is conquered. So tell Hans to stay in Sweden; he is no longer needed just as the UN is no longer needed.

That's not all he said: "The UN will soon return to Iraq and administer humanitarian aid and continue handling the oil-for-food program." I hope that they are not allowed back and that we will do the job required. We no longer have to kowtow to those UNidiots and I hope the Prez will resist any aid or interference in Iraq from the UN, including France, Germany and especially Russia, the latter even now are said to be supplying weapons to the Iraqis.

Maybe we should bomb the UN when we are finsihed with Iraq. The UN has been the biggest part of this problem from the start by protecting murdering dictators and terrorists.

Kofi's not quite all there, is he? He does seem shy on dot-connecting powers. Not good for the "head diplomat of the world."

I'm thinking that any "overdue" US dues to the UN have been / are being well paid by the cost of ridding the world (that includes Kofi's UN group) of the Iraq menace.
I have no objection to the UN using some of its dues money to pay for the inspections / clean-up ops after the US - UK - Australian - Polish boots do the hard work to make it safe for Kofi and his gang.

We cannot trust the axis of weasel. And I hope that after the war, when they try to exert moral authority, that our President will have the stones to stand in the well of the UN and demand that these... nations answer for their crimes. Primarily that of weakening the sanctions by cheating so that they never had a chance of succeeding.
They MUST pay the consequences of their reckless and treacherous actions.

I love your post @20.
we will let the Iraqis decide who is on their side.
Here, Here!
This one thing always betrays its veracity: Actions speak louder than words.
Listen and learn, Kofi, Chirac, and the peace imposters who bow down before you.

Down the hall from the posted topic, I have a theory on how things went down at the UN Security Council. Russia, China, and France all were opposed to a US-led invasion of Iraq (along with Germany). Problem was, how to all get their way with the least "diplomatic fallout." Knowing France had the strongest relationship with the US, they agreed to send Chirac out to do the dirty work publicly. I cannot help but wonder how much profit in trade was promised to Chirac for taking the fall. IMO, Russia, China, and Germany are, at the very least, equally guilty.
Chirac needs a conscience.

I believe I read (somewhere; reading too many things these days to recall what / where) that the US, having frozen Iraq's assets here, plans to use them to help the Iraqis after the war.

Isn't Tarjet a French company? No, a Minnesota company. Sometimes it seems like a distinction without a difference, I suppose.

From Atomica.com's third definition of "pygmy":
pygmy.
An individual considered to be of little or no importance.

Registered is great.
The CIA should make their own quick video of Registered's Weekend in Baghdad and drop them all over Baghdad and other Iraqi cities.
