Howdy Temple. It's a beautiful day in Ohio too...And yes, prayers for our military today. I was just sick when I heard Michael Moore's speech on the radio this morning...so glad I didn't watch it (and that he got boo..ed). Have a great day!

Aqua, Daisy and Billie. My parents visited the patriotic music thread this weekend and were very touched. Never thought I'ld see the day that they would become lurkers here (being the lifelong dems that they are LOL!) Think you guys are converting them...something I've tried for years to do LOL!

LOL, *stop* with the top ten list compliments. If you look at it again, you'll realize it's funny because youse guys are funny. I mean, "The Thin Man couldn't resist" isn't inherently funny: it's funny because the skinny little guy is so dipsy. :)

Well, we had a good rally at the Lincoln Memorial. CNN did live cut-aways to it. We had 500 at any given time, and over 1000 over all, coming and going. It was a beautiful day. I *always* wish for more people, but I'm not disappointed by this turn out. On short notice, we had a goodly crowd which made for good media photos and gave a good counterpoint to the leftists.

I and others had the honor of having dinner after the rally with Mr. Aziz Al-Taee, president of the Iraqi American Council. He spoke more about Saddam. He worries for his family in Baghdad and yet he doesn't. His speech at our rally was put on Al-Jeezera: he knows that it might put his son in Baghdad at risk. But he says, "My son doesn't matter and I don't matter. Media is part of the war. Getting rid of Saddam is what matters." He's right to think of media coverage as part of the war.

I remember the early days of the Finest, when I was too shy to do anything but order a Cadillac Cheeseburger and Freedom Fries, with a chocolate shake, and coffee to wash it down.

Speaking of the Dixie Chicks.....:)

I don't know how many watch American Idol, but I enjoy the music and watching all that new talent....there is a young 17 year old singer who has this unique sound to her music - country style - it almost sounds like a yodel just when she sings. Anyway, one of the judges told her after her performance last week that he thought she should replace the what's-her-name Dixie Chick!
