Among the minority of Americans who oppose the war, feelings are hardening. "I'm out here because I'm so darned frustrated," New York marcher Carol Harrison says. "I feel I have to do something, and this is all I know how to do.""And this is all I know how to do."
"And this is all I know how to do."
"And this is all I know how to do."

Maybe the polls show growing support for the war because the anti-war people are never home to answer the phone calls from the pollsters, because they are always protesting.

NEWS FLASH! For 90% of the protesters here in the U.S. it is not about War. It is about Bush and the growing mistake the neolibs are making when they equate the desire for security in our own land, combined with a resurgence of patriotism, with fascism. The headlines should read, "Disillusioned DemocRATs take to the streets".
Let them rant. They will burn out directly. Actually I would like to see more and more counter demonstrations.

The reason they are not galvanizing support like the Vietnam War is because there is NO DRAFT. Like the great preponderance of humanity, it was fear for their own tail that strengthened the protests during the Vietnam War.
If you read David Horowitz's book Radical Son, the left was chagrined at the end of the War to realize that their power was destroyed, because people weren't demonstrating to bring socialism, they were only demonstrating because of the fear of the draft.
That is why Rangel, Conyers, and other radical socialists in Congress are fighting to bring back the draft. They know that if they don't succeed they will never generate the kind of antiwar pro socialist sentiment they want.
We need to make more people aware of how the Democrats want to do this - if they thought their stand was unpopular before, they have no idea what would happen. A Democratic party that actually might be able to bring this about would disappear overnight in the next election.

I think she could get a job sweeping floors or something. Didn't clintoon have a whole slew of re-education programs that this human refuse could have qualified for?

Protesters turned out over the weekend in smaller numbers than before the war: 125,000 in New York compared with 500,000 on Feb. 16; 200,000 in London compared with 750,000 a month ago. The numbers are overstated, in all cases.
