"Corny" is all fine and good, but I've seen Bob Dornan speak and would love to see him get another whack at it!! Beck's also got the ClearChannel folks behind him and it would be interesting to see if he could get Limbaugh solidly behind the DeeCee Rally concept.

Have to admit the Barbershop group hit a few sour notes with their song selection, especially when they sang "Let there be peace on earth."Yeah, I noticed the klinkers too. Especially since I and the other two guys I was with are members of our church's 12 member men's chorus. We may be a small group, but I'd match us against "The Virginians" any day. We've been invited to sing at the White House, and have opened baseball games (on the 4th of July no less)(once two nights in a row). We do weddings, anniversaries, all of those types of events. I'd have picked other numbers than what they performed as well.

Dan's Bake Sale, but we'll be ready this time. Dornan is an excellent speaker of course, but if Beck's rallies have all been like Richmond's, then they've been non-partisan and that could contribute to their success. It's possible people really don't want strident partisanship interjected in an event like this. These rallies have focused on the American Ideal. Whatever they're using for their criteria, it's working. I'm going to stay out of it and leave well enough alone! :^)

Strident partisanship is getting increasingly hard to avoid, IMHO...the DemonRATS insist on supporting the unsupportable and defending the indefensibile!!
"Life Uncommon"
(To be sung to Jewel's "life uncommon")
Don't worry Grandma...it'll be alright...
And don't worry brothers, say your prayers and sleep tight!!
It'll be fine, sweet wife of mine...MUD'll be just fine!
Lend your voices only to sounds of FReedom!!!
No longer bend Right's strength fer that which you wish to be FRee from...
Fill your lives with Truth and Bravery...
And you shall learn the Right's not Monsters.
We've heard Left's anguish...
I've heard Left's hearts cry out!!
Right is tired, we are weary, but we aren't worn out!!!!
Set down your chains, until only Faith remains...
Set down Left's chains!!
And lend your voices only to Songs of FReedom...
No longer lend your strength to that which you wish to be FRee from...
Fill your lives with Truth and Bravery...
And We Shall Build a World of Honor!!
There are plenty of Sheeple who pray for peace...
But if praying were enough our dreams wouldda come to be.
Let your words enslave no one and the heavens will hush themselves...
To hear our voices ring out clear...with Songs of FReedom...Songs of FReedom!!
Come on, you Lurkin' FReepers...join in and come play!!
There is a Good Army coming and we are armed with Faith...
To live, we must give...to live!!
And lend our voices only to Songs of FReedom!!
No longer lend our strength to that which we wish to be FRee from...
Fill your lives with Truth and Bravery...and Right shall lead...
Lend our voices only to Songs of FReedom!!
No longer lend our strength to that which we wish to be FRee from...
Fill your lives with Truth and Bravery...and Right shall Prove that we got Honor!!

The radicals within the religion do give the entire Islamic community a black eye...I wish the devout peace-lovers amongst them would speak up LOUDER against the zealots who besmirch Allah!!

Patrick Henry would be glad to volunteer again for a D.C. Rally, if he is invited to such a gathering. I could probably get General Geo. Washington to come along with him.

The same General Washington who attends the Virginia Republican conventions reminding everyone to "be a Republican" as required by the Constitution?

"This Blessed Ground"
(To be sung to Bruce Springsteen's "My Hometown")
I was six years old, American flag in my hand...
Dockside, watched that ship return my Pa from Viet Nam.
Ma cried, then laughed, 'cuz Pa'd made it through it...
We cheered as Dad's feet touched ground...
He tousled my hair, said, "Son, take a good look around...
This here's Blessed Ground, and it's your home now,
Do your Country proud, this is your hometown!"
Back in Ninety-Five, Prez'dent's tellin' lies and breakin' rules!
Political fights between The Wrong and The Right...
Networks treat us like we're fools.
As Justice obstructs, Clinton passes the buck,
While sellin' secrets to Chi-Com scum...
Algore grasped their illegal cash, sordid times had come...
To our Country...Won't you see? Liberty, it ain't free!!
Now White House's stonewallin' Congress, showin' no remorse...
Seems like there ain't nobody values Character no more.
Still, we're closin' in to prove Slick's guilt, while Elitists fret...
Mudboy says, "These Bums're already TOAST, they just don't know it YET!!"
It's our turn now, let's show 'em how...
To devolve Power, to your hometown.
So, Right, don't delay, seize the day, condemn Bill's Tyranny!
Forcin' out these crooks, it's our destiny!
I'm Thirty-Five, got two kids of my own now...
Last night, set 'em up o'erlookin' the Sea..
I said, "Kids, take a good look around...this here's Blessed Ground!"

BTW...Mr. Henry, if I ever get in a legal scrap, I'll remember to get you on first chair...LOL!!

What a great article in the grey lady itself. wow.
"What are we advocating?" asked Randall Bloomquist, the station's operations manager. "We're advocating love of America, support for our troops overseas and defending our homeland. We have no compunction about any of that."
WOOHOO!!!! Does this man have an email? we need to support him!

"Have to admit the Barbershop group hit a few sour notes with their song selection..."You know I was thinking the same thing when they were singing. That was probably the worst part of the program. Overall, the rally was tremendous success.
I looked for you, man, but in that crowd it's no wonder we didn't connect.

No, not the same Washington. Kevin Grantz is my business partner in Virginia Patriots, Inc., and a very fine Washington "personator". He portrays Colonel Washington in the re-enactment at St. John's Church, as well as at other venues. See his photo and info at:
