Did anyone notice Saddam just praised the Generla (by name) of the 51st (whatever) - The same general that surrendered on the second day!!!?

Wait a minute. I read some where that the supposed general that surrendered was actually a somewhat lower level officer that lied about his rank to get better treatment. I can't remember where I read this. Has anybody else seen this?

No reference to current events whatsoever. He named Um Qasi'rs commanders because he knew who they are (he pu them there) and because this is the first town to encounter the invasion. Basra is the logical next stop, so he mentioned it as well. What he did not mention is the US POWs, the current battle in Nassiryah and the fact that US hellicopters have attact the Republican Guard 60 km away from Baghdad. CANNED TAPE.
The war slut - Amanpour- was very fast to proclaim that this was the real guy. I hope CNN finally gets rid of this systematic liar.
