The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys) | Yorkshire Post, 3/24/2003 12:15:13 PM Tanks from the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards saw their first action last night in a series of battles with Iraqi resistance on the outskirts of Basra. Their Challenger 2 tanks took out 5 Russian built T55 tanks close to Basra International Airport. In a fierce battle lasting four hours the Scots DG encountered numerous enemy units less than a mile from their position. |
