Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Q: Why is Iraqi TV still functioning? (Good question)
A: because we have not decided to take it out yet.

ooo, just noticed, the dow is falling steeply, seems like the doomsday reporting we saw yesterday is reflecting on wall street Considering that the DNC and the media work hand in hand, how likely is it that they are trying to do as much damage on purpose to tank the economy ?
I wouldn't put it past them at all.

I want her to accompany me on my Afircan Safari in case of a rhino charge. If she did accompany you, a rhino would be guaranteed to charge. And, PETA would be on you like green on grass for molesting the animals.

There's your question, Dog, re: why the apaches were sent in.

I want to hear Torie announce to these reporters that they are gonna embed them with the Iraqi army.#1 on my list is the tubby little guy with (usually) a bow tie & a shiny bald pate with a fringe of white hair.
He's be in the CCU in under 15 minutes.

Look at the feigned "concern" on those faces. If they were concerned about America or our troops they would not be working to undermine and misrepresent this war.
It would be nice to live in a world where our media was not so unpatriotic! I'm not asking for no questions or criticism but this is getting ridiculous!

Torie: Stockpiles ready after de-mining. As soon as area secure, humanitarian aid will be brought in. Between-the-lines: You behave and you'll get dinner.

This press corp needs to hear from the American people. An 800 # where America can reach them as a pack, because as a pack they gang up, measure their stories against the pack members - out of touch with America. How 'bout a daily American press press briefing where one by one they face a crowd of US for questioning.

I think we should tap into Iraqi TV's signal, play constant pictures of Helen and then tell them to surrender and we'll stop. No need to do so. The 'Commando Solo' EC-130E is specifically designed to broadcast transmissions. We would simply take out their transmitters and then broadcast over the same frequency.

You're probably asking. The Garafalo look-a-like is Pam Heiss from UPI. She is always a major pain.

Military commentator on MSNBC saying that our military command needs to tell the troops to fire back at hospitals etc. so that we don't take the casualties taht we did over the weekend. That we are not trying to win a PR war.Aargh! I am glad that guy is retired. This is as much as PR war as it is military. Losing the PR war now would mean we'd have to do this over and over again, and suffer more WTC-type attacks, over and over again. We must win both.
