Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

"Lefties also can't grasp that there are those of us willing to risk 'our lives, our fourtunes, our sacred honor' for this country."
And that is why the Liberals can't win in the long run. Every time the libs get in control for a while, they need some conservatives to bail them out.
I saw an interesting comment tonight about how the conservative could take over any time they want. We have all of the guns. They are peace creeps. If we weren't so scrupulous, we could easily rule the roost for a very long period of time. I guess it's a good thing that we have morals. It is our weakness and our strength.

I hope this is the first thing I see on the news tomorrow morning when I wake up. I think I might just turn on the Today show to see Ms. Couric's face prune up. =)

If it's a "gap", then I'm guessing it's either hilly terrain, or swampy. Looks like a transistion, elevated to the west, to low land. I would guess the "gap" to be in the nature of a ravine of sorts.

There is going to be a concerted effort to get the story out to the world....including the Arab nations. Anyone that has been at FR for several years knows that the left, when confronted with true, comes up with NEW objections. There is NOTHING that will change the minds of those opposed to this war. I work with a guy that said that as soon as we got to Iraq, we would "find" wmd. The talking points will be out within hours telling us that there issue with this war isn't about WMD...

And, to complete the thought on their behalf, there is someone to sue:) Shhh!! The DemoRat Trial lawyers might hear you! File Big War lawsuits....

I'm sure the reporter can't say what he wants, nor can the people he talks with. It's a hell of a combination, huh? I guess what we can learn from his report is the propoganda Saddam has put out to them, helped by the war-protesters worldwide and the French, Germans and Russians.

I think the Republican Guard falling back into Baghdad are going to be seriously surprised.
Tomorrow brings the beginning of the final battle.
