P.S.- Can some one please tell me why these anti-war people are so mad?

Because`the root of their hatred isn't war.

They hate freedom and capitalism. War is merely an issue, like the environment, for example, that they use.

The 'peace' movement is a tactic in the war against freedom/capitalism.

Good work!

"Over 2,000 arrests have taken place in San Francisco. These "anti-war" people are trespassing, vandalizing, harrassing people, blocking traffic, etc. There's very little that is peaceful about them".

Not to mention staging "puke in's". Less than one half of one percent of Americans wish to align themselves with people who "protest" by vomiting.

Why a Democratic leader, such as Pelosi, hasn't spoken out on such PRIMITIVE protest, is beyond me.

I'm not giving advice to the "left" but I see (very) little hope of a White House win for a Democrat in '04, considering that a leader in the Democratic party, i.e., Pelosi, hasn't come forth and said, "We're all for protesting, but vomiting on city steps, blocking traffic is not going to help get a Democrat in the White House in '04". The vast majority of Americans will not align themselves to a party which ignores, condones such PATHETICALLY sickening, barbaric behavior.

just wanted to say...YOU ROCK!
I wish I had learned about what these people were like earlier. I actually sympathized with them and tended to agree, until I realized that 'peace' has never been their agenda. Their agenda is anti-military, anti-religion, and anti American.

"...I’d just like to say I’m a 14 year old girl in the 9th grade..."

For a 14 year old, you express yourself very, very well and very clearly. Study hard as you progress thru High School even if you don't think you need to do so; it will pay off as you go to college and in your future life.

I wish you well, I believe you have a great future and have a real chance to make a difference in this country!

Thanks for your excellent post.

I'm sure your Mother is very proud of you Geckogirl, I'm proud of your Mom for raising such a brave and intelligent daughter.

Something I think you'll find lacking in people today is respect. I theorize their parents never taught them to respect themselves so it is impossible for them to have any respect for anyone else.

This is why it is so easy for them to bend over and except the horrors that come from men like Saddam Hussein. Unlike you they have never known the pride of standing up for their beliefs and making difficult decisions based on knowledge, personal experience and faith in their own abilities.

You will be stepping over these people as you grow into adulthood. Don't pity their low expectations for themselves. Show respect where it is due, and have pride that you are setting an example for others to follow.

Thank You

I know what it's like to be young and stand up for the right thing, removal of Saddam, pro-American and pro-Bush. I'm only 16 and I'm overwhelmed at the amount of bozos pushing their anti-war views onto the airwaves and making police guard their unpeaceful protests when the airwaves could be showing more information on the war or the police could be protecting us from another terrorist attack. I wish they'd all move to Canada too.

From the Washington Post.com
(me - UNBELIEVABLE! No mention of the socialist/communist roots!)

"Roots of Dissent

The American movement against war in Iraq follows the tradition of oppositional politics that dates back to the abolitionist movement of the 19th century and the women's suffrage cause of the early 20th century. These social movements, arising outside of the two-party political system, include the labor movement of the 1930s, the civil rights and anti-Vietnam war crusades of the 1960s, the nuclear freeze movement of the 1980s and the anti-globalization demonstrations that emerged in the 1990s. Dear GG;

The deluded fanatics you will encounter are desperate, and in their desperation they have reverted to their most primitive instincts.

The raised finger "Democratic salute" and the string of obscenities is their only bulkhead, because their arguments hold no water and they cannot make a cogent defense of their positions.

If you smile, and wave, it really infuriates them - in itself a worthy goal.!
