Actually, We provide 25% of the UN budget, Japan provides 12.5%, next is Britain, Spain, Germany and France with 6-7%. Russia provides only about 2% and China provides only .8% of the annual budget. Of course that's just operating costs. When it comes to humanitarian aid, the US provides 60%.

If the US, Japan, Britain and Spain left there would not be enough money in the UN to pay the light bill.

Regardless of their ability to pay, the UN is located on US territory. We could cut off electrical power any time we want.

The UN needs our money, Japan's and the UK's money to keep its doors open.

GW and Tony have whopped the head off of the UN Chicken. It is running around and acting like a chicken when seen at a distance. Soon it will start flopping and fall over.

This wide open criticism/condemnation of the UN and the French by Japan is something new for the post WWII Japan.

If you want to have fun with a moderate or liberal ask them how long the UN will last after their failure with Iraq? They go beserk or get the look of deer in your headlights.
