The other night we had a lot of fun watching the CBC's flagship nightly newscast, "The National," which is being simulcast live on C-SPAN ever night during the war.

If you think the US mainstream media is biased ... if five minutes of NPR makes you ill ... well, friend, let me tell you, you ain't seen NOTHING yet until you've seen "The National." The CBC does not even make any pretense to objectivity. It is hard, HARD left; it is MASSIVELY anti-American; it is MASSIVELY anti-war. Your jaw will drop if you watch this show with us, I promise you.

The show will air live on C-SPAN1 at 9pm EST/6pm PST. Won't you join us and vomit?

I spent the entire summer of 2002 in Northern Ontario and the only radio I could receive was CBC.

Tedious doesn't begin to describe it.

The lead story for weeks was some claptrap about lesbian rights in Ontario. Absolutely dreadful.

All I wanted was a G.D. weather forecast and never got one.

I had to listen to WBZ Boston to find out what the James Bay weather was going to be.

Very lame.

I live close enough to Windsor to get CBC. I used to watch every night as I rocked my older daughter to sleep. It worked. Most nights both of us fell asleep. ;-)
Truly, I watched to see another view on us. What I saw made me go back to American news.

CBC, BBC, NPR, all have something in common - all government funded. No marketplace of ideas. BBC's embedded reporters have performed quite well, but the anchors and interviewers are terribly anti-war.

When you hear lefties rail against the "corporate media"...remember, THIS is what they want. What is the alternative? State run TV...I've seen these guys before..They are almost as bad as Saddam's official Iraqi TV...they don't even try to hide their bias...I find it amazing how they report rumor as fact and mix editorials in with the normal reporting...it's too obvious for us Americans, but for the rest of the world that tends to be left wing, they see it as mainstream. Watch it...know thy enemy.
