In tribute to the Armed Forces today the participants will be mostly dressed in black and for the men business attire is encouraged.
Celebratory music has also been cancelled as well

HE WAS SOOOO BOOED. Good for them. It just made him look like a fool. But then again, he talked about fiction, and he, as we know, is the King of it.Has anyone here seen BfC? He must have said or done something to make fun of Hollywood celebrities wholly separate from the war thing. That's the only possible explanation.

Call me clueless, but I didn't understand Steve Martin's comment about the teamsters. Can someone help me out?? Probably a reference to the disappearance (and presumably death) of controversial and colorful Teamsters president Jimmy Hoffa.

It was long, loud and built up in a crescendo...the more he talked the more they booed. But what REALLY surprised me was that the great majority did not cheer or applaud; oh, some did (like the presenter Diane Lane) and Danny (the Red) Glover.
The Steve Martin joke and response capped it off nicely.
