They made mention on ABC in New York, after their report of our rally there is another pro-US rally planned Friday afternoon in front of the UN...anyone know of this? No info on that one.

You need to put the full address of the image in your img src attribute. You only put in the file name. For example, instead of src="image.jpg" you need to use src="
http://www.images.srv/images/image.jpg" When the image resides on the same server as the document that is linking to it, then one can use just the filename (assuming they are in the same directory as well) and doesn't have use the full (absolute) address.

Your observations are corect, definitely a different type of crowd than the anti-war folks.
All you had to do is make an announcement that the police would like us off the sidewalk and in the barricaded areas and people just complied. No pissing and moaning or chants of "Whose streets? Our streets" or other nonsense. They were cooperative. Same when I announced earlier that we needed to keep part of the sidealk open for pedestrians. Those people at the rally were great.

This has not been a very good week. Sunday was great. And those photos are great. And your stage idea was great. That was excellent thinking. Simple and effective.

Hey, it's not good etiquette to post such high-meg pictures all on us like that!! Now it takes like 5 minutes for us people with non-broadband to see our comments. It has to keep loading and reloading. Don't post such high volume graphics -- link to them.
LOL, you new yawkers are sweet but ya got NO MANNERS! : )
To: Cacique
The crowd at peak time was about 3,000 ralliers. Woohoo!!! Fantastic Cacique. Great pics, thank you so much.

Can't you please *repost.* You have the URL links to these photos -- can't you remove the large photos from their URL locations and repost a smaller version at the linked place?
That would solve the ongoing problem many of us are having.
Note that was a suggestion the Admin Moderator had. Do you know what I mean? Your photos have a link to a particular address on the web. Move your photos so that they're not at that address and then repost LINKS to those photos on this thread. That will work.

Wow, I really can't use my Free Republic now because those large photos I was pinged to just lock me up. Bear with me, but I need to make a post with *lots* of lines so that it will send that ping with the photos to an older comment page.

oops -- sorry, it's not the length of the post, it's the number. by changing my preferences to "20" to show comments, you can prevent Cacique's large pictures in this thread from preventiing you from using Free Republic
LOL, New Yorkers!!
Good press in that New Jersey article. Saw you guys on either CNN or FOX NEWs too, it looked great. Congratulations!

suggestion from general_re on post #192.
...I can no longer access FR from home since it will take me 4 hours to load my comments page.
Actually, you can - when you get home, if you're not there already, just go to your "My Comments" page and click on the "brief view" link to set it to the brief view. You'll still see new comments to you, but just the thread and poster that they're from, and not the body of the comments. That way, the pics won't be visible on your comments page. Then you can switch back once the offending post gets pushed off the page. Easy as pie, if a minor inconvenience ;)
