Well, when they find them, if still alive they need to give each one a hundred rounds and let them practice (on the enemy).

I vote give the woman POW a dull, nicked, rusty, cold knife and let her 'practice' on the Iraqis responsible. Then treat their 'wounds' with lemon juice and salt. But that's just my idea.

By the way, I served in 13th COSCOM which supports the 2AD and the 1st Cav and my old unit is there now. God bless'em.

Thank you for your service.

Certainly, the military needs to make sure that troops put into harms way have the required resources to handle whatever situation arises. (This is probably not the time to discus this in detail.)

My concern was that Travis seemed to be deeming the troops themselves – something he has apologized for (repeatedly), which I admire him for.

AND....(BBC News, not up on news site yet) British troops have discovered a massive cache of Iraqi weapons, including cruise missiles (?!), in abandoned, fortified bunkers.

I was in the national guard under Clinton's watch.
And Trav is pretty much correct.
We didn't get to practice with our weapons as often as we would have liked, and there was PC BS throughout the unit.

I left because of some PC BS.
My former captain called me a liar to my face with these words about the death of my step-daughter:
"We know that she is, in fact, alive. And even if she wasn't it's not like you really lost anything. Suck it up and drive on."

Then he tried to AWOL me for being at her funeral.
Among other things.

That guy has a special dark hell in my heart.
The rest of the military I have warm feelings for, and I'm jealous of those still in uniform.
but let's face it: The death of aloved one and teh behavior of my captain is not conducive to one's mental state and I cannot guarantee the captain's safety should I ever see him again.

But the point is: Under Clinton, the military was raped and under-trained. Now the soldiers and families pay for Clinton's unzipped pants.

Do pray for continued good luck in this endeavor in Iraq, we need it. And our soldiers in captivity will need it to get out of it alive.

Your opinions were off mark as far as their timing. And quite a bit of military folk (of course) is going to get pissed off as I did. Your apology to everyone (especially to the rest of us in, and/or involved with the military.) I appreciate your understanding and apology, since unfortunately there are a few out there that still don't get it.

The 4th AD had not even left Hood as of yesterday. Their equipment is slowly making its wait to Kuwait since the Turks made the wrong decision.

Other than that, I agree that the paradigm of compassionate warfare and letting the enmy disperse under the guise of going home while just regrouping again behind the thrust is not working out very well.

They have to round them up or engage them

It would've taken every ounce of my strength not to beat that captain to a pulp right then and there.

Yes. A woman is prisoner of war by an Islamist nation. God go with her.

Moslem Law decrees that her captors have three days to "ENJOY HER"!

Tell the wives and girlfriends of the men that it is traditional for them to be THROWN TO THE EUNUCHS"

Thisis a WAR to the DEATH"!!

I was about to turn his head around on his shouldersso he could face me when he turned his back to me.
The Smoke grabbed me and led me to another room rather than let me do that.
I owe him big time.

Seems the smoke was the only one who had bothered reading the obit.

It's been two years since, and I STILL wish I had nailed him.

Or give her back her shoes and let her beat them with the soles since that seems to mean something to them

Actually, I've read that the Saddamistas seem to take delight in torturing womens feet. Her feet may be injured or 'beaten'. I agree with your 'treatment' of these guys tho. Hopefully this woman was wearing CLEATS (and I mean the metal golf kind...)

I'm so heartbroken about these lately news, but this is quite distressing to me.

My anger should be directed at the PC military leadership which is sending support troops into an area full of hostile stay-behind enemy formations when those troops are given less than 100 rounds of practice ammunition for their rifles per year, and who are barely familiar with them, and who are in no way prepared for combat.

I had no idea. I thank you for the information.

My prayers are with the troops. May God help them and protect them.

Thank you!

I've heard that their answers to questions have been what is expected of a soldier too. When asked what they do, one said, we fix things that are broken--not giving up anything, giving only their first names, etc.

For all their "low IQs"(SARCASM) they sure are being dutiful soldiers from what we can see(and I haven't seen the tape, just relaying what was said on the news by those who watched it--I believe the foxnews reporter Major Bennett(?) said that about their replies.

I heard about the foot torture but SS reported this was considered an insult, when an Iraqi was seen pounding a bill board picture of SH with his shoe.
