I was in the national guard under Clinton's watch.
And Trav is pretty much correct.
We didn't get to practice with our weapons as often as we would have liked, and there was PC BS throughout the unit.
I left because of some PC BS.
My former captain called me a liar to my face with these words about the death of my step-daughter:
"We know that she is, in fact, alive. And even if she wasn't it's not like you really lost anything. Suck it up and drive on."
Then he tried to AWOL me for being at her funeral.
Among other things.
That guy has a special dark hell in my heart.
The rest of the military I have warm feelings for, and I'm jealous of those still in uniform.
but let's face it: The death of aloved one and teh behavior of my captain is not conducive to one's mental state and I cannot guarantee the captain's safety should I ever see him again.
But the point is: Under Clinton, the military was raped and under-trained. Now the soldiers and families pay for Clinton's unzipped pants.
Do pray for continued good luck in this endeavor in Iraq, we need it. And our soldiers in captivity will need it to get out of it alive.

It would've taken every ounce of my strength not to beat that captain to a pulp right then and there.
