Jim Miklaszewski of NBC also reported US soldiers MAY have been executed (emphasis mine).
Telemundo (Spanish language) showed the video of the dead soldiers at about 8:30 AM. Telemundo also mentioned that the 101st soldier who attacked US soldiers was a Muslim.
NBC says the Pentagon has requested major media outlets not show the video.

No - don't nuke Baghdad. It defeats the purpose of being liberators.
Look... as far as I can tell, this war is incredibly one sided. We have some numbers of Iraqi surrenders (somewhere over 10,000 by now), but I still haven't seen any numbers of Iraqi dead! We're losing some people, but I'm sure our KILL RATIO is extremely high.
As a soldier myself, I understand that there are going to be American loses. I can't help but wonder how these troops fell into Iraqi hands. I know that I would tell my squad to follow one of the articles of the code of conduct while in Iraq: I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.

The left won't care, they'll say we deserved it. They have no respect for our side.

I'd like some "Marines on Guadalcanal" behavior to take place, just over the ridge from any imbedded media.
Dollars to donuts, these executions were carried out by the Iraqi security forces or political officers and not by some PFC. We want to hang these security pukes, as well as Saddam and Tariq Azziz, not some Iraqi Gomer. We don't have time to shoot prisoners in reprisal. They guys we want to hang are in Baghdad. Moreover, there are large numbers of legitimate surrenderees whom we would otherwise have to fight and kill. Reprisals would force them back into the arms of the very same security forces we want dead.

This was broadcast over Al Jezzeera. At what point does Al Jezzeera become a target? If they are complicit in Geneva Convention violations, it sounds like they can be legitimately shut down!
To: rumrunner
Let's flatten the surrounded Iraqis from far enough up that we can't see any white flags. Make examples out of this group that executed our people!

Garrett's report was chilling. You could hear the anger in his voice based on what he had seen. I believe this is true, there are too many details about the units, what the people are saying on the tape, etc. We may have to mount a special ops attack to get them back.
To: rumrunner
One was a female too. I would be suspect of any Iraqi until they prove otherwise. We should go after any target that will help win this thing and not get in to a "do good" posture that will only result in deaths of British and American military.

Liberation stuff is just a phoney cover to destroy Iraq and we all know it. If they go to the point of parading our troops around, nuke a city until they stop.
Stop the madness.

FNC just said they wouldn't run the video, but have reviewed it internally with their commentators, and that it was ugly.
Shades of Daniel Pearl.

Heard it reported they took a wrong turn and found themselves surrounded.

This humanitarian shit with the enemy must end right now. The Republican Guard has chosen to fight. Wipe all of them out.

I mentioned on another thread that I went to the Dummy website for the take on this story. A frighting percentage of the posts on this topic are justifying the executions. Those people are pure evil, and they are here.

Bush should have stuck to the origional, and foolproof, plan I thought the Generals were running the war. What original foolproof plan are you refering to? Let's not start getting wobbly we've got a war to win!
