I was watching Foxnews early this morning. They were using a Sky News reporter who was traveling with US Soldiers. This was during the firefight this morning at Umm Kasar.

What started out as a report in the middle of a firefight turned into a running commentary by the Sky News reporter against the war.

Fox kept the pictures the reporter was showing, but turned the volume down and recognized the commentary by the reporter. Bob Sellers said laughingly....

"Yeah...oh ok..what started out as a report has turned into a reporter running commentary and shooting his mouth off"

Then they turned things over to the Military Analyist who agreed that reporters shouldn't be running commentary. Rather they should be reporting what they see.

I saw this level of bias from Sky News during Tommy Franks press conference the other day as well. The reporter stood up and asked Tommy Franks.

"If you really want the Iraqi people on your side, why are you bombing Baghdad so hard and scaring them with this Blitzkrieg??"

Bob Sellers used to be on the Weekend mornings but they moved him to a more serious role doing Foxnews Live. Now that the war has started he does the mornings again sometimes.

Right after Sellers moved to nights they hired this guy named Julian Phillips who is very liberal. The whole weekend morning crew got so liberal I couldn't stand it.

Me, neither. I figure an immigrant's accent is a lot better than my ability to speak his language. But new-ku-lar isn't an accent anymore than lie-berry or chimb-ley.

But it is a regionalism. I don't like them, but it is kinda like y'all. It is just part of how people in an area or region speak. I did notice that W got it right last time. It just takes 1. being aware of it, and 2. making an effort to correct it - if you want to correct it. I like my Texas twang, and DON'T want to change much.

Mike Jerrick actually does pretty well for an obvious homosexual, though his bias does creep in from time to time. I don't know what he's doing on FNC. Must be a Log Cabin Republican.
