You just KNOW that the whiney lefties are going to start with the "if you're soooo concerned about the Geneva Convention, what about those Poor people at Gitmo."

Godspeed to those who are gone, and God's blessing to those who are captured

The kindest and quickest way to end this war is to kill as many members of the Iraqi military as quickly as possible. As soon you watch the video of the 507th Maintenance soldiers from Fort Bliss, TX who were captured, I demand you come back here and tell me any God Damn Iraqi civilian's life is more important than killing every member of the Republican Guard.

"Too bad we unable because of our convictions, morals, ethics, and general decency give the typical anti-Americans a taste of their own medicine by calling them murderers and throwing blood on them; starting with Martin Sheen"

My dear Rat, I did not propose throwing blood on them, though it might get their attention; and they are murderers, millions of times over. I am thinking in terms of boycotting their presentations and the advertisers who support them, and exposing their lies in every possible forum. In particular, I believe we should bring every pressure to bear on the various authorities to repeal the "protesters'" de facto license to violate the law and abuse their fellow citizens. This means no more PC enforcement, the same penalties that you and I would receive for vandalism, assault, and blocking streets. Where appropriate, we should press Congress to investigate antiwar groups like ANSWER and foreign influence over media outlets, as well as the disemination of propaganda and the suppression of free speech in the academic community.

Innocent Iraqis want us there to help them and TRUST us. More than the anti-war nuts over here and elsewhere. Read the revelations of a former human shield here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/872685/posts

Excerpt:
"The driver's most emphatic statement was: 'All Iraqi people want this war.' He seemed convinced that civilian casualties would be small; he had such enormous faith in the American war machine to follow through on its promises. Certainly more faith than any of us had."

Our side will not stoop to the animal-like activity that the other side--the actual enemy, not ordinary citizens--may engage in.

He also says, FoxNews will be reviewing their policy about NOT showing the video...

Unless they get the permission of the families, they should not show the video.

If it were one of mine, I would give the permission.

The Iraqi units in the area of the capture should be vaporized.

If they didn't sign it, I assume they can't technically be prosecuted for not following it. But they can't expect their soldiers to receive any help from international agencies if they are captured. The USSR never signed the Geneva Convention either, and Solzenitzen (sp) said the Russian POWs never got Red Cross packages in WWII because of that. Of course, the US will treat the Iraqi POWs humanely because we are moral people. God will wreak vengeance on our behalf instead, I pray.

Sorry - I don't see the connection. Russia is a type of civil war. Iraq is not. But Russia is also dealing with muslim terrorists.

I concur. But it will get to the internet and soon. If I find it I will link it. And I will kick any peace protester's butt that I see from this day forward and tatoo the names of our executed POW's on their a**.

I am sure the military leaders are furious over this and want to be turned lose. Unfortunately they take their orders from PC politicians who are more concerned about public and world opinion then they are about going all out to win a war. If we are so concerned about killing innocent civilians then we should never go to war. It is time to unleash the power of the armed forces. If not, coalition soldiers will be killed needlessly. I just heard Rumsfeld say executing and showing the bodies of the American soldiers killed by the Iraqis is a clear violation of the Geneva convention and they will be held accountable. Ooooh, I can just see them shaking in their boots now. Stop the soft talk about Geneva convention and bomb them to smithereens.

Keep in mind, the anti-American left is marching in the streets in support of Saddam's regime as his soldiers mistreat American soldiers.

...But we should remain true to our ideals and the Geneva conventions...

Of course we will. There's no way America will execute POW's.

This whole thing is the fault of the UN, our European "friends" and our domestic war protesters.

We need to take very strong action now.

I have not yet read all of the responses, so please forgive me if I'm repeating, but true or not, this is hell for the families of our troops. We need to take off the gloves and finish this as quickly as possible.

I watched the standoff this morning in which we let our men lay out there at risk, to save Iraqi lives. Forget it! If they resist, roll over them with neccesary force and move on to Baghdad!

The Iraqi leadership that made this decision are freaking animals. They need killin! /rant off
