Yes folks, believe it or not, there's going to be a Support Our Troops Rally in San Francisco!
I think the flyer pretty much says it all, but if you have any questions, you can either FReepmail me or call the principle organizer Alfredo Najero at (415) 823-7407.
I'll post more information about speakers and other details as I found out more...

At last, a date that I can attend!!! My son (FReeper sonofdemnomo) and I will do our very best to be there. I take it that you have contacted KSFO, MediaQueen, American Preservative and other San Francisco/Bay Area FReepers about this event?
MediaQueen and her group were in San Francisco (behind and within enemy lines) the other day. They had some fantastic signs that my son and I would love to carry!!!
I will be in touch.

My son (FReeper sonofdemnomo)I love it! My mom is a FReeper too and her screen-name is SeenTheLights Mom! Anyway, glad you can attend.
I head up the Bay Area FReeper Chapter and we've been doing counter-protests in SF for the last 6 months or so. I haven't met MediaQueen yet, but I've heard about her and about the FReep the other day. I pinged her, as well as the Bay Area Chapter list, so word should be spreading as we speak!
I just got involved with the organizing of this rally, so I don't know much yet about the details. I'll be attending a meeting Monday night, after which I should be able to pass on more info about media outreach, ect.
Keep in touch with this thread.

We (ILMW and I) confronted a girl protester tonight. She was by herself and I was *angry* and was saying things like:
"Go back to where you came!"
"San Franciscans are SICK TO DEATH OF YOU PEOPLE!"
"Do you even have a JOB? We can't get to work! We're angry"
"Get out of our neighborhoods!"
And ILMW (I_Love_My_Wife aka my husband) was with me, pissed with that wonderful British accent and logic.
Grrr.
Her response was something about too bad it's inconvenient, since war is inconvenient and bombs are inconvenient...etc.
She actually looked like she was going to cry or have a nervous breakdown.
I felt like kicking her butt. You know? But I didn't.
To: SeenTheLight
This is fantastic! I will plan on being there! I've yet to see anything happen here in the supposedly more conservative East Bay, so I look forward to joining you at Ground Zero!

She actually looked like she was going to cry or have a nervous breakdown.I know exactly what you mean. It's like some form of mass hysteria. Meanwhile back in reality, the liberation of Iraq is underway.

Great! Later on in the week, we should pick up spot for FReepers to meet....
To: demnomo
I take it that you have contacted KSFO... Actually, we need a lot of HELP in contacting the media and press. Please do everything you can by picking up the phone and calling the individual hosts to hype the event...
Also Email 10 people outside of FreeRepublic. Mobilization is a LOT of work and dedicated FReepers can make a huge difference.

We who were in Santa Rosa yesterday were part of a truly wonderful but humbling experience & with all the news this a.m. I will certainly try to get to SF 3/29! Meantime, I have a proud yellow ribbon joining the USA flags on my front porch & a prayer in my heart every minute of the day for our men & women.
Shame on all who march against our collation freedom fighters & give aid & comfort to the enemy's weapons of mass propaganda, including the whinny little cowards who read these FReeper posts.

I was there and it was a wonderful experience! I can only hope that the SF Rally is half as successful...
To: SeenTheLight
I'll try to be there. It will be an epic journey via BART from Fremont, but it will be worth it..
To: FreeHueco
BTW. For anyone who was at the San Jose/ Santa Clara rally. FREEP the hell out of KRON4's website. The 9o'clock news reported that there were "dozens" of pro-troop/ pro-america people at our rally.
goto
http://www.kron4.com/ and click on contact 4. Let them know how many people were really there. Fight back against the bias.
To: American Preservative
My boyfriend and I will be there. We live a block from there! YAY!
