This is SOP -- when I was assigned OS they had instructions for us to give to family and friends of what to send and what not to send. Basically anything that would offend the Indiginous culture.
We are trained to consider ourselves guests in the country and as such must act in accordance with and with respect for local customs.
You know, the stuff that they don't give a SH*T about when they come to our country.
