Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, and, of course, Belly Girl...

When the Marines approached them, hidden Iraqi soldiers ambushed them. Screw it. No more prisoners. Wipe 'em all out as we come up on 'em.

Banfield would have better odds than Geraldo and Greta. Of course Greta hasn't worked out(other than providing a liberal counterweight, ala Colmes). Banfield impresses me as the type who if surrounded with bright, patient conservatives could learn a lot over a year or two.
Actually MSNBC isn't that bad, they have potential if they could get a few more conservatives faces and producers(not loose-cannon idiots like Savage that reinforce the negative stereotypes the left puts out about conservatives).

What did Drudge open with? Thanks for the reminder. I just tuned in.

Hey, by week 2 does it qualify as a "quagmire" to the dems? Yes. And in week one, it is already a 'quag.'

As a Vet also ,but not having the time nor credentials as Hack, I've nonetheless been seriously wondering what wild thing has climbed up his ass lately. A VERY small percentage of vets are anti-American, and I personally think he's been lured through time and AGE over to the 'dark side'.

Screw it. No more prisoners. Wipe 'em all out as we come up on 'em. Another advocate of war crimes. We're smarter than that. We can handle "lying sacks" without killing them. And we will have no mercy on combatants.

Some of the off duty controllers just came back in and they say that the glow is dissipating.

I can never get frozen pizzas to cook right. Always follow the directions, and get burnt crust and wet soggy center. Ugh!
Say, anyone know a store that sells a garlic butter sauce(like Papa John's) for dipping crust?

Back when I was in....we had some disgusting goop called "Chicken Ala King"...........nobody would eat them.

Hey, by week 2 does it qualify as a "quagmire" to the dems? Remember Afgahnistan? Just about the time the Dems start to use the term quagmire, Iraq will fold.

I like Ashleigh! She did a GREAT job on 9-11.

I watch CNN sort of like a traffic accident. Not very often, with one eye shut, grimacing, yet curious. I saw Hackworth yesterday, and I got the impression he was slightly mad [insane].

anyone know a store that sells a garlic butter sauce I don't, but try olive oil instead of butter. There are some nice garlic and basil infused olive oils, cheap.
