Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Greta fanning the flames, picking at hot spots during war time - Turkey, Russia - why not bring up Israel, China, Kyoto, Communism, Clinton and the Koran, Greta.
It's easy to be a Democrat....just tear down whatever your opponent says. No need to do anything yourself....hire props and stylists to create a convincing fake.
What a bunch of nattering nabobs of negativity, as Rush would say, on FoxNews tonight.

Did FNC kick Hack off their list? I have noticed that he has surfaced on CNN lately. His is a Viet Nam vet with an agenda and has been writing all kinds of negative Bush stuff for several months.

i tell you honestly, maybe this will be a controversial opinion, but I really don't care much about Iraqi civilians. Not that I want to see any harm come to them, or collateral damage from our attack. But "liberation" is way down on my list of priorities for this thing. I don't expect much of a reaction from the civilians (except for the Kurds, who are very happy). These Iraqi civilians don't like Americans. Look what the Somali civilians did to our men. We should not be misled. We aren't seeing any celebrations from the embedded reporters in Basra, I have to assume the reaction of the locals is benign. I think the Afghan people were more appreciative then the people in Baghdad will be. Just my opinion of course.

Everytime I see Larry King, I think of the old Dave Letterman bit where they'd show King and an Owl side by side and simply say "Larry King... he looks like an owl"

do y'all think Ashleigh Banfield might be recruitable to fox or is she too left? Your post didn't come through properly. The mp3 of the guy doing the rimshot on the drums didn't play after I read it.

What sort of industrial facilities or "target" type places might be in that direction?

If this thing picks up, we may have to go to MREs. Even when I was in the military we tried to avoid MRE's. They are allegedly better now... but we used to bring big old "pogie bags" of junk food, spam, and the like out to the field, and cook them on our trusty Yukon stoves.

I should just make that again tonight. My husband wants stuffed trout. Visualizing..... "I want fish, I want fries, I want beer, let me see your thighs...."
You: "Stuffed salmon is now on the Jack In The Box menu. Here's 4.99, enjoy their special. Meanwhile, can you get me some Bon Bon's at the store...."
