Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, and, of course, Belly Girl...
BREAKING NEWS !
Laurie Dhue has a Web Site !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go to www.LaurieDhue.com
WOW !
I was originally a doubter, but realized a few days ago it will be harder for the doubters to claim governmental propoganda with embedded reporter's first hand reports.
Of course, we can't convince the unconvincable, and some will just believe we planted what I believe will be thousands of pounds of chemicals and biologicals. Their little minds just can't be confused with facts!
I'm a total Bald Eagle nut. I've got a painting by Robert Bateman of an Eagle, called the "watch" I think. When I lived in Anchorage, I got the pleasure of attending an Indian event where one was sent into the wild. Now, I live in Tacoma and see TONS of these magnificent birds in the Western Washington area, and British Columbia where my wife is from.
It wasn't like this say 20 yrs ago. I think better land management practices, lack of poisons, must have helped. I've seen Bald Eagles soaring over DT Seattle and even flapping their wings right over the freeway in the Bellevue area.
If you've never seen one, you are really missing out.
What isn't described is how many of our forces are in that perimeter. You can bet we've been that close from several directions with scouts.
The various agencies better get their butt in gear and provide what is needed so the aid isn't slowed down.
Thanks for the address!
Did everyone go to www.LaurieDhue.com ...???
Thank you.
I keep looking at a crossing at Ar Ramadi. Only a 50 mile or so jump to goose the Nebuchadnezzar and the Hammurabi in the fanny. A big suprise could be coming frm the NW. Lots of area out there we hear absolutely NOTHING about
Well, if Saddam International is taken, then that allows the 101 to sneak right in behind the Hammurabi and punch 'em in the ass.
Now, suppose the 101 and the 3rd ID attack the Hammurabi division from front and rear. The division does the el foldo after being hit from two sides and above from tactical air.
Meanwhile, the 7th UK and the First Marine Division pin the Nebuchadnezzar division down by means of frontal attack. This would, hopefully, prevent any lateral movement.
What happens is that 7th Cav and Third ID punch through the old positions of the Hammurabi and begin to invest the rear of the Nebuchadnezzar division, leaving a big hole in front of Baghdad.
Game over.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
