The Highway Patrol estimated about 2000 patriots came out in the beautiful Iowa sunshine to support our President and our Troops!
More Photos to follow as they come into my mailbox...

The highlight of the day was when we turned over the microphone to each of the families of active service men and women.
Very few dry eyes, I can tell you.

Ping!
Thanks for being the driving force behind it all, you guys...you are heroes, too, whether you will acknowledge it or not. Send along my congratulations to your whole team!

A great big thank you to all of you who helped make the Rally a success!
I was busy and missed the TV news...how was the coverage? Does anyone know?
I was told WHO was reporting on it big-time in their newscasts this afternoon and evening.
To: NH Liberty
Thanks! :-)
To: HeartofGold
I just saw one TV station's coverage.
On camera, it looked like 5000 people...a full three minutes, absolutely perfect...kids with flags, families with pictures of their service members, bagpipes playing 'Amazing Grace', speakers blaring 'I'm proud to be an American'...it couldn't have been better if we had produced it.
:-)

Just to make sure you know, I loaded all of the pictures for you. I just posted those three on the other thread because you were going to. The others are:

They're all in that same directory.

Okay, thanks.
To: TheMidnightPoet
I still don't know how to get there, though....remember, you're dealing with someone with a technical IQ in the low 60's...LOL
To: EternalVigilance
How about if we just do this? Hey, everybody, here are the rest of the Iowa Rally pictures!
To: TheMidnightPoet; All
I was hoping you would do that! ;-)
You're the best, my friend!
Here is some stellar work for the cause by our fellow FReeper, TheMidnightPoet:

;-) Here is something that is very interesting concerning Iowa history, Reb...our grandpappies fought on different sides:

And on the same side, too. I had two great-great-grandfathers on each side of the war. I just figure the ones in Yankee blue were immigrants who didn't know any better.
To: EternalVigilance
Well done. Your photos have been added to the CD Tribute to be produced for the Troops in the field.
To: EternalVigilance
This gentleman was seen on all the news broadcasts.
