This is a real problem--BIG problem.

I doubt there are a lot of Arab muslims in the Services, and if there are any, no doubt, right now they're dumped in some "token" position where they can do little harm.

Black muslims, however, are a different story. Blacks comprise 13% of the Services--32,500 in the theater now--and of that number assume 5% are self-identified Black Muslims--conservative assumption if you ask me. That gives us 1,625 black muslims, and this frightens me.

Why? Because blacks who've converted to Islam have done so because (i) they hate the U.S., (ii) hate Jews, and (iii) hate White people. In other words, the perfect candidate for a soldier who would do something like this. One or two here or there, no big deal, but 1,625 could do real damage.

When he is described as "an American Muslim soldier", I am not sure if he was born an American, whether his parents were American, whether his parents were Muslim, whether his brand of Islam is one of the conventional Arabic kinds or whether it's Farrakhan style, etc.

Getting these details clarified might help.
