Today I traveled to Lansing Michigan to stand shoulder to shoulder with patriots (DAN FROM MICHIGAN, PHOTOGIRL,REPULICANHIPPY, APACHE02, SERGIO) against terrorism. Except, there was no opposition. Not one Anti- war protester was even on the horizon. Instead American Flags were like blades of grass. They were flapping in the wind and held high by great american men and women. Great Patriotic Music. Well after that I had to go back to Grand Rapids and stand up to the appeasniks who were going to veterans Park..................... Well, I got there first and took control of the stage with my two flags, one in each hand. Walking back and forth like an angry attack dog. They had a pa system set up but I noticed that by holding two american flags high, it apparently created and electro-patriotnetic-vocal amplification that overcame there pitiful little mike and speaker. I was outnumbered probably 150 to one. Then I noticed this young guy standing behind me and he actually was very sucessful in keeping them off me. Then two young high school kids came up and I gave them a flag and we marched right thru them yelling USA USA. When appeasniks started there chanting about racism and Bush's terrorism against people of color started. I loudly pointed out that the only anything of color in the whole park were the two young high school americans of african decent, and my puerto rican self AND THE BEAUTIFUL RED WHITE AND BLUE WE WERE HOLDING HIGH! The appeasenik's spirits were crushed, they felt so angry, but I guess its allright for them to make noise but not for us. Well today they got a taste of their own medicine. After an hour they marched 4 blocks to the Van Andel Arena and I showed up and again bombarded them with visual and audio arty. Every salvo was on targetand made them cringe because everyone driving by and walking by could see LA DIFFRANCE, and they were embarrased to be on the side of terror, of the enemy, of fundamentalistic intolerance... one of the crowd favorites was ..Do you speak english, parlay vou fransay, this is not france, this is the U.S.A. ....but (I am getting spent - having to be so negative and angry - its almost like Star Wars and the Dark Force taking me over, so I could use your prayers) God Bless U.S.
