Actually, the little-reported (surprise!) story was that he was raised "normally" -- albeit by libs, a Leftist lawyer father -- but he went astray after his father left his mother and went off to live with another man. Publicising this would have damaged the liberal everything-is-moral paradigm, so it was dropped faster than a French defender's rifle.
