Freepers News! WE WON! Today's Rally at West Street Plaza in Reno turned into a march. We marched to the Federal Building and TOTALLY overwhelmed the war-protesters.

I videotaped the protests today at NYC's Washington Square Park and it was 100% anti-Bush and anti-Israel. The most disgusting marcher was a father with his daughter on his shoulder. The little girl was carrying a sign that said, "F*CK BUSH" without the asterisk. What a wonderful parent. The little girl could not have been older than 7 years old.
I am surprised that the media gave them favorable coverage. The marchers were screaming "Shame on you!" at the media and banging their fists on the hoods of the satellite vans.

If no one told you, Welcome to FReeRepublic. Most of the people here are pretty nice. However, some people get their jollies by trying to appear "cool". Please ignore them.
BTW, anybody with a tagline like yours, and somebody misinterprets you? ROFL ... She can't read either!

Freepers are being heard across the country.
Fox News is reporting on Pro-American / Pro-Troops rally's across the country!
We have fun, laugh and chant...They cry and moan...
Could it be, because it is more fun to be "right?"

am surprised that the media gave them favorable coverage. The marchers were screaming "Shame on you!" at the media and banging their fists on the hoods of the satellite vans.I've seen very, very little positive coverage of today's hate marches. They're not even getting that much coverage in the first place (obviously, the war itself is far more important, and more interesting), and when they are getting coverage, it's almost always balanced with coverage of pro-war rallies and/or reports of the violence and arrests.
When MSNBC and Fox spend twenty solid minutes airing live chopper video of the NYPD chasing down violent antiwarBush criminals, the America-haters do NOT come off looking like good patriotic citizens.

Pete Jennings covered the anti-war protests in NYC on World News Tonight, but he buried it near the end of the newscast, and in the actual taped piece, Chris Cuomo showed them up for what they were - anti-BUSH more than anti-war. Then he switched to covering PRO-America rallies! I saw this report also... KUDOS to reporter Chris Cuomo! Does anyone know if he is a conservative? I usually never watch ABC news, so I'm not familiar with their reporters.
Also... we checked out Tom Brokaw's report (NBC) just before ABC's. Coverage of rallies across America today was also actually fair and balanced - it looked to me like there was equal coverage of the anti-war rallies to "pro-military" (NBC's term) rallies. They also seemed to focus on the crazier signs and puppets for the left, more "normal" families with children, etc. for "our" side.
Shepard Smith on Fox News just reported briefly on the NYC and DC anti-war rallies (showed a sign that said: "Bush kills children"). THEN he said that rallies in support of our troops were held all over the USA today... 9,000 at a rally in Auburn, IL (?) WOW!
He said that the #1 reason most people are coming out to the streets in support of our troops is that people are getting sick and tired of all the anti-war rally coverage. That's the very same thing I've been hearing over and over again at the last two rallies we attended... and I always hear this from "average" citizens who aren't even aware of Free Republic.
YES, FReepers... we're making some NOISE out there! :-)

That's a pretty big insult to lay on someone who just gets excited seeing all these FReepers sticking it to the maggot infested peaceniks at their rallys. Does that help to clarify my position?Just ignore her. She's even newer than you are, and obviously doesn't understand this place yet.

One thing about Petah's report on ABC News... he inflated the number of protestors in NYC today to 125,000... everything I've heard so far estimated the crowd at 100,000.

I usually never watch ABC news, so I'm not familiar with their reporters.Believe it or not, he's exactly the Cuomo you already suspect him of being! I'm amazed he gave the report he did. Guess he's closer to his paleoliberal father than his Clintonian, "all that matters is winning" brother.

Hey, Pop-Aye!
Just returned from our Liberty Rally in Sarasota, Florida. What a day!
Our freeper family was united in spirit all across the fruited plain today. As the sailor man would say, "We yam what we yam what we yam!"
Good work, Reno freepers!

Where would they possibly have found normal-looking people in the hate parades, or psychotic freaks at our rallies? ;) LOL, I just knew I was going to get a reaction from a FReeper to that line! I know, the reporters really had no choice but to present each side as they are!
