Excellent pictures, except you did not catch the crowd standing BEHIND the platform. There were at least 300 people back there -- some of them standing on the edge of the fountain and one lady, in patriotic garb, sitting right in the middle of the fountain on a pedastal. So many people took her picture that I thought for sure that she'd show up here (I know who she is, if someone caught her photo.)

The speeches and the music were great, and LouD really knows how to work a crowd!

How about that roar of condemnation for Sen. Daschle and Sens. Feingold and Kohl?

Lou, Again, many thanks to you and the other FReepers whose hard work paid off BIG TIME. I heard the AP reporter begin interviewing you at the end of the rally. Do you know what kind of coverage the rally received?

Or the crowd nomination (nearly unanimous) for Sheriff Clark to run for mayor...

Just saw Channel 12's report on the Rally. Very favorable. They reported a police estimate of 2500. We were contrasted with a pathetic march of 250 Saddamites.

Yes, That was certain,y impressive, as is Sheriff Clark. Today was the first time I've heard him speak, as I live in Ozaukee County. I was very favorably impressed. I imagine that Norquist was not pleased -- especially the boos and catcalls.

Then why does the Urinal-Sentinel write as if the Pro-America rallys are small and the Anti-War rallys are huge? Oh, "bias," you say? Hmmmmmmmm. Who'da thunk?

The Journal Sentinel won't be happy until all of their readers agree with their far left stands. And they seem to be making great headway, given how their circulation keeps shrinking.

Drove past the Brady & Farwell hippie hangout later in the afternoon. There was a motley group of maybe 12 to 15 people. The one sign that I could see from my moving car read "Despair". That's all these people have to offer!
What a contrast to the wholesome family that gathered at noon! Proud to be an American. Proud to be a Milwaukee Freeper. God Bless our Troops! God Bless our President!
God Bless the USA! (I will freely admit to tears during that closing song)

Great Pics! And what a great rally. AFTR - great to finally meet you except I lost you in the crowd, but I heard you and Mrs. LouD were the official "peacenik disrupter bouncers" - Way to go...just what you always wanted to grow up to be, right lol!

Mr. Diva went to the 2nd floor of the library and took pics - we should have them in a couple days and will probably give us a wider shot for a better guess at crowd size.

Also want to echo the sentiments of Sheriff Clark for Mayor - even though I don't live there, if any of you Milwaukee Freepers can convince him to run, give me a holler - I'd be honored to help!

AND in case you didn't know, NPR was there!

Thanks to everyone who came out and special thanks to LouD (oh heck, drop the capital D ---Loud) - reaganrenegade, the crow, steveegg and a few other non-freepers, and anyone else I missed.

Mr. Diva just got home (the devilishly handsome dude manning the sign-up sheet)..said a policeman came up to him because he just needed to tell someone about the peacenik rally at Brady and Farwell. He had just come from there, called it a "rag-tag" group that was trying to disrupt traffic, but was too afraid to!!!

Sorry we couldn't make it today - but looked like a great rally!! You sure had much nicer weather than the lst time we got together. It's about time the sun shines on OUR side of the fence!

Fox6 at 9pm gave it nice coverage - even ran it before the *rag tag* group! Bravo to you LouD, and all your elves!

Glad you enjoyed the pictures. I would have given anything to be up on the building under construction accross the street, that would have made a great group picture :)

It was great to hear the chants for David Clark for Mayor, I'd vote for him! Every time I hear the man talk I gain respect for him...Speaking of Mayor, where was "our's" today? Probably running down America with Kletzka(sp?)

For those on a slow dial-up (like me LOL) you can see the pic's one at a time here http://web-nuts.com/usa/pix/
