Right now, the facts and logic point to a soldier going crazy (or being an Islamonut) and doing it.

What facts? This story has changed several times in the past 30 minutes.

If the guard is missing you have two theories. He did it or was taken out so the bad guys could get to his explosives.

Remember, it was just not only the grenades responsible for the injuries. There was also small arms fire, that was mostly responsible for the injuries.

The reporters on the ground (I've heard two, one from Time and one from Sky News) NEVER mentioned gunfire. The gunfire rumor probably started when CNN guy thought he heard gunshots before getting disconnected from the reporter on the scene (Time). It turned out that the line had already been disconnected and the CNN guy had just heard the feed coming in from Baghdad AAA.

If the report of gunfire following the greande toss is true I highly doubt it was jsut a snuffy smith playing with a frag.

grenades rolled into the leadership tent for one of the brigades of the 101st airborne in northern Kuwait. 10 people injured, 6 seriously. One soldier, who allegedly was guarding grenades, is missing. Search is on for the soldier.

No, that is incorrect. It was reported that the officers saw the grenade and returned fire from the perp or perps.
