Fort Campbell, KY March 23 -- Defense department officials have identified the soldier killed during an attack at the 101st encampment in Kuwait.

Twenty-seven-year-old Army Captain Christopher Scott Seifert of Eastern Pennsylvania had been assigned to the Fort Campbell-based 101st Airborne Division.

The attack in Camp Pennsylvania in the Kuwaiti desert also wounded 15 soldiers, three of them seriously.

A soldier with the division was taken into custody after the grenade attack. A Fort Campbell spokesman identified that soldier as Sergeant Asan Akbar.

No other information about him was given except that he is a member of the 326th Engineer Battalion.
