Fatah calls on Muslims to attack US, UK targets By KHALED ABU TOAMEH

The Aksa Martyrs' Brigades, an offshoot of Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement, on Saturday called on Muslims to attack American, British and Israeli targets all over the world in response to the war in Iraq.

A statement issued by the group in the West Bank city of Nablus said: "This fierce onslaught against the [Arab] nation, which began in Iraq, is aimed at dividing the region in order to establish new Zionist cantons led by neo-Nazis."

The group accused the US, Israel and Britain of seeking to take control over the resources of the Arabs and Muslims through "terror and massacres." It called on "all the honorable in the Arab world to rise against the new international terror by striking at the interests of the three countries."

The statement also urged Palestinians to carry out suicide attacks in Israel as part of the war against the US and its allies.

Palestinian Authority officials said the statement does not reflect the policy of the political leadership of Fatah. "Arafat does not approve of the statement," commented one official. He said the statement could have been issued by a small minority in Fatah that

The Fatah threat follows an appeal by Hamas and Islamic Jihad to the Iraqi people to carry out suicide attacks against the US and UK troops.

Hamas declared Monday a day of fasting in support of Saddam Hussein. It urged Muslims to hold special prayers to call for the annihilation of the US and its allies and called on Arab governments to cut off diplomatic relations with Washington and London.

For the second day running, tens of thousands of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip took to the streets Saturday to protest against the war in Iraq. Most of the demonstrations took place in the Gaza Strip, where protestors carried posters of the Iraqi president and chanted "Death to America, Death to Bush." In many refugee camps Palestinians burned Israeli, American and British flags.

Some 15,000 students from the Islamic University in Gaza City marched in the streets to protest against the "crusade" campaign against Iraq. The demonstrators held a special prayer calling for the destruction of the US and Great Britain and for the victory of Iraq.

In the West Bank, thousands of Palestinians staged protests in Bethlehem and Ramallah on Friday and Saturday, denouncing the Arab presidents and monarchs as "traitors and dogs."

A Jordanian man steps on the United States flag

Those who know me describe me as a nice guy, maybe too nice.

G-d help the jerk who desecrates the flag in my presence. I can't help myself, I will defend Old Glory with my very life.

Hey, has anyone ever messed with their flags? I have never seen it. I am pissy enough today, what with all of the protests here and abroad, that it would feel real good to set a few of those crap flags on fire and dance in the street. Lalalalalalala, crazy American pissed off woman!, lalalala, ooga booga! (shaking head and muttering to self)

Fatah = supposedly under Arafat's control

Either Arafat ordered this (which would be crazy, but not out of character for him) or he's losing control to wacko elements.

Hey, has anyone ever messed with their flags?

I doubt that those people have anywhere near the feeling we have for our flag.

America does not have a King or Queen. We have a flag, and it means more to us than I can say.

Note what it say about these fanatical ghouls that they are angered by the liberation of the brutally oppressed Iraqi people, oppressed by the benefactor of these thugs and murderers! Watching this familiar outrage, and comparing it to the smarmy Daschle rhetoric tells me that the despotic democrats are also to be repudiated at their objection to the removal of this snake. The scene is becoming very clear, here and abroad, don'tcha think?

Oh, no one can match the pride and love we have for our flag, I agree. It just made me wonder, that's all. Even if they don't give a flying, it would be a sight to enjoy, for me at least.

Indeed. When I see Old Glory, my first thought is "Good, she's up there."

My next thought is about the history of our nation. How good men and true have given their lives for our freedom.

My final thought is how much I love my country, which Old Glory is the symbol of.

"Someone should point out to them that the days of $25,000 checks from Saddam to the families of bombers are over"

That's their problem. Also, Saddam's lap puppy Yasser knows his days are numbered.

D@MMIT I have never burned the flag of another nation - though I'm not opposed to burning the UN flag - but I am getting VERY close to burning a Pali flag!

We conservatives simply don't have it in our hearts to burn flags....ANY flags. Not even theirs, though I'm getting darned close...again.

I have a pic of the Pali flag on my hard drive still, that I saved last summer and started running through an image morching program to make a nice, virtual burning .gif. I never completed it, because in the end, it just isn't in me to burn flags. With the exception of the UN flag.

I'm getting BACK to the point of finishing that animated gif of the Pali flag burning. The PA territores aren't a nation. They're a loose conglomeration of foreign controlled first and second generation immigrants, run by puppet of Saddam Hussein.

That photogenic little boy should be playing soccer, teasing his sister and eating candy, not staring down a gun barrel. His mother cared about him enough to knit him his sweater. His father cared about him enough to buy him a watch. Why in G-d's name then do they not care about him enough to protect him from the dangers and vileness of the world until he is much older?

There is something so utterly poisonous and ugly about Palestinian culture. It is like watching insects feeding on a rotting corpse. Anyone who believes a decent society can be constructed on such ruinous foundations is either a knave or a fool and probably both.

Seriously, when out of the leaders' mouths of that group and Hamas they say they want us killed, they have declared war on us just the same as bin Laden. They are terrorists who want us destroyed and we should go after them in the same way we did the Taliban and bin Laden. OBL said we were to be killed and then actually attacked, Hamas and other Palestinian terrorists have made the same claim, just haven't attacked yet. Destroy them before they do.
