Where are the WMDs?

While watching the lastest "update" and subsequent "comments" by the Sky news journos, I couldn't help but wonder at their intelligence. (I know, I know... they are journos after all :o))

"Where are the weapons of mass destruction?"

"They haven't found any weapons of mass destruction yet, have they?"

And the "expert" seemed at a loss to answer.

Tap. Tap. Tap. Is this brain on? Chinese missiles? Scuds? Don't they count?

And if not, fine. The other explanation is simple... "Sod Him, He's Insane" is not mental enough to give his precious WMDs to a bunch of soldiers/conscripts he knows are likely to give up the moment a US soldier (or journalist) looks at them.

If anyone has them it's his republican guard, and more specifically, the "special" ones. And we (the coalition of the willing) will get to them after going through the outer layers of the Iraq armed forces.

Besides that... the conflict has only been going for a few days. Sheesh. They want to give Blix more and more time, but the forces need to produce the goods right away in a few days while coming under fire and only a few miles within Iraq. Go figure.

Actually, it has been reported that they have reached at least one WMD site. There is a special unit to handle these sites and they have embedded media with them. The report said that intelligence sources have over 100 such sites they want to reach. This was reported on MSNBC and FOX last night.

Thanks Pete.

Unfortunately, I don't get Fox or MSNBC down here in Aust. I get Sky, CNNI (CNN International which sometimes shows CNN US) and BBC World.

Our military briefing mentioned the SAS had maybe found something but no info. was forth coming. In fact, he denied one such report as being a fluffy (or something like that). We are really news deprived down here - accept for showing the protests HA!

Hey , we'll find some WMD just as soon as Saddam dies resisting arrest. He's probably gonna have all kinda things in his pockets.
